Aye he hath not forgotten. A plan has been developed and implimented. Tuesday will be Squats and legs. Thursdays will be Chest(Bench press) and Tri's and
Fridays will be Back (Deadlift) and Bi's. Will post tomorrows results as soon as I can. Bear with me.

I could sure use a

Okay, enough of my whining and on with the days workout. Met up with an old friend I hadnt seen for years this morning at the gym. He and I trained together and it was great especially since he brought 3 big High School boys with him to help with setups ect. Any Squats went kinda like this 2 x 5 x 135; 2 x 5 x 235; 2 x 3 x 325; 1 x 1 x 415 I tweaked my back on the 415 and it is sore as hell right now. I should be okay but damn that hurt. Erector spasmed up on the right side just above my belt. Felt like being stabbed in the back with an ice pick. Not fun at all. Anyway My friend Jim Yakubovski is 62 and heading off in 3 weeks to do the IPF Nationals in Miami I think he said. So okay there you have it. Now on to Thursday and my massive bench press It is still fun.
I got a new lifting brief and Squat suit in the mail yesterday along with what they call a suit slider. It reminds me of womens panty hose with loops on the heels. You pull them on and then slide the lifting suit up over them. Works really well and when you get the suit up in the proper place you just pull them out from under the suit. Damn slick idea. |

Back will be okay. So Monday I rode the bike for about 30 minutes and then did some light chest and shoulders with Kirk. It was fun. Tuesday I squated and the
back is still tender. It will be better next week and I will do a proper report. Today I stayed home and dismantled the platform I had in the bedroom. Tomorrow
I will get my new bed. Friday is a doc appt and then Deadlifts. Should be fun. But I sure gotta get some sleep.

Deadlifts: 2 x 10 x 135 2 x 5 x 235 2 x 3 x 315 Back is still sore from last week when I pulled it Squating. Well we are committed to this so regardless we will do what we can. There is no quit here. Besides this is a warmup and start toward some new stuff in about 3 years. Gotta slip up on in LOL |

Monday, 20 July 2009 was 30 min bicycle and chest and shoulders with Kirk. Used machines and I did not keep up with everything. Was a good workout though.
Tuesday, 21 July 2009. Squats after 30 on stationary bike. 5 x 145 3 x 235 2 x 325 1 x 415 this is the number I had been trying to get past. I hurt my back with it 2 weeks ago and it took that long to heal for me to move this weight. So now on to bigger and better things. |

todays workout was kinda short and sweet.
Bench Press 3 X 5 X 135, yeah that is the weight that nearly got me a month ago. Tricep pully pushdowns for 3 X 8 Seated bicep curls 3 x 8 then out the door and on to other chores.

Back wasn't hurting like it has for the past 3 weeks and I was pleased. Last week 405 was a bastard. One more week of training then the contest week. So we are at it. Shall see how things progress. |
